work part one is done.  i shadowed a couple tots classes.  i’m finally starting to have some anxiety about leading a class today.  AH.  i know i’ve coached before, but before we followed extremely specific lesson plans, and it wasn’t even close to competitive.  also it was three years ago.  i actually trained before i started leading my own classes, i already knew the kids.  today i’m walking into a class that has zero lesson plan, with kids i’ve never met and who are expecting their usual teacher.  i have no idea how many kids there are.  all i have to guide me is the class i shadowed yesterday and a list of skills a level two gymnast should have.  AH.  it’s an hour and a half class, i have no idea how long to stay at each event, or which order to go in.  thursday will pretty much be the same thing, except with tiny tots.  that will be a little less stressful, because they do have lesson plans (kind of) and the gym will be pretty empty.  learn by doing, i guess.  i’m trying to be calm.  it’ll be fine.  ah.

let’s see.  tippy went to the groomer and looks like a real brussels now, not a monster.  i wanted to watch the inauguration this morning, but i had to go to work.  i taped it, i’m sure we’ll watch it tonight.  last night we went to l’avenida and i had some seriously good fajitas.  we’ve noticed that cheese is not ever served with fajitas here.  weirdos.  i need a haircut.  i ate a bagel for lunch, which is very out of character for me.

ok, it’s time for me to get out of here.  i’ll try not to let the kids know i have absolutely no idea what i’m doing.
